My comic art style is largely influenced by legendary Japanese cartoonists. The following were the Fujiko Fujio duo (most famous work is Doraemon), Fujio Akatsuka (Osomatsu-kun and Tensai Bakabon), and Monkey Punch (best known for Lupin III).

If you seen my comic pages, it's mostly monochrome with heavy use of screen tones. All of that came from looking up Japanese manga from the 1960s & 1970s. Those works from that era had a more cartoony western look. I took me ten years to get really good at creating comics and I mostly been studying these manga artists most of the time. Another thing to notice is my style of doing over-the-top expressions. Most of that came from the works of Fujiko Fujio.
I know some comic artists were inspired by Japanese media. But for as me, I was looking at the more obscure stuff.
I'm a big fan of Monkey Punch, I will pick up anything Lupin the Third!
