I've been forced to teach myself how to do colors for comics. (Translation: I can't afford to pay someone else to do if for me.) I know its far from perfect, but I have made progress and improve with each page. I finished this panel last night.
Looks great to me! I like how you kept it old school with simply using vibrant standard coloring. Many comics today turn me off with their coloring; for it looks too soft with all the light coloring layers. I like the use of the straight use of color; it gives comics more of a harder effect reflecting the characters/storylines. All this soft coloring today makes comics look like Rococo, which really doesn't reflect the representation of characters such as Wolverine & Daredevil. I think books looked best in the 80s--Especially the premium Baxter Books DC released such as New Teen Titans, the Outsiders & Vigilante. Those comics held up extremely well & still look amazing til this day!
